Ellie took on the role of editor for this new contract publication in mid-2008 as a contract with Fairfax Magazines. Smart goes out to Warehouse Stationery’s charge account customers around the country and was designed to help position WSL as an advocate for New Zealand’s small to medium businesses. 

evbmedia created the editorial content based on initial ideas that had been used in the original pitch, and suggestions from Warehouse Stationery. As the face of the magazine, Ellie has cultivated and maintains an extensive database of industry contacts, liaises directly with WSL as well as Fairfax staff involved in the organisation and design of each issue.

Ellie is involved with every step of the editorial process – commissioning stories, providing content, overseeing design, keeping to budget – until each page is signed off and sent to the printers.
